One Chapter, over 14600 words. Why? That's the way the vision manifested in my head. I'm a Pantser, a term for someone who doesn't bother laying out a plot, or defining characters before the story is well underway. An image or scene pops into my head and I start typing, and boom...another 20,000 words have been vomited on the page. I'm not saying they are good words, or that they are readable, but they become a backbone, and after a few years of tweaking, refining, polishing

Change clothes, switch hats, but underneath...the same character. The biggest trap for authors is dressing up the same story, the same plot, the same characters in new facades and saying it's original. It's why at times...I have to walk away.

It's been a while since I've posted. I'll blame it on Easter Season, extra rehearsals, spring projects, and generally being in a state of "Duh." The real world is oppressive, and it's harder to escape to my make-believe corner and create. Mostly, too many loose ends that need to be tied up. (And the last thing I want to do is appear less than whole...and ask for help?)

I've had a couple of chapters ready for several days, but stuff kept happening, and stuff didn't get done. These are all important to the story, but Chapter 59 is not the norm.
