About W.R. Golding

Walter R. Golding has a lifetime of experiences that bring insight into his writings. A traveler, he’s done the tourist thing, but more importantly lived with families in several countries, and immersed himself in their culture and their lives, ranging from the wealthiest to the poorest.

Friends around the world help inspire his work. These relationships enable him to write multifaceted, unforgettable characters who are courageous, flawed, relatable, and real.

W.R. Golding has always had stories to tell. Still, a busy life of family, presiding over multiple businesses, and handicapped by being appalling when it came to the English language kept these fascinating characters and plots hidden away until 2005.

At the age of fifty-seven, he began putting his words on paper. It took seven years to produce his first published novel, followed by others, but behind the scenes, he has written more than nine books, each one a learning experience. His passion for the characters and their stories is always at the forefront of each novel.

Mr. Golding has been a Member of the Tampa Writers Alliance in Tampa, Florida, the Rough-Cut Writer’s Collective in Tacoma, Washington, and the Tulsa Night Writers organization in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He has recently joined in working with the Muskogee Public Library to facilitate a new writer's group in Muskogee.

Currently residing in his hometown of Muskogee, Oklahoma, he has come full circle on his world tour, home again, where his story, and his stories began.
