Daniel and the Lions

BOOK ONE OF THE DANIEL SAGA

A scary euphoric sensation surged through Daniel, emerging in the form of a nasty smirk. "Get to kill somebody today."

Daniel and the Lions is not a Bible story. A Fantasy Novel in current times, fourteen-year-old Daniel has endured torture. His mother is a trained killer, and his only friends are a pair of orphaned mountain lions. Daniel is not evil, but he is cold, calculating, and prepared to kill, again. Emotionally suppressed, he is withdrawn. Daniel didn’t ask to spend the last five years running, but here he is hiding in western Wyoming with his mother. Extraordinary abilities have made survival possible, but there are those who hunt him wanting him dead. They will not stop. Circumstances are changing, Daniel is changing, and the hunted are about to become the hunters.

Daniel and the Chaos Conspiracy

BOOK TWO OF THE DANIEL SAGA

Book two of the Daniel saga

The bad days were over. No more running and hiding. Daniel had survived torture, taken revenge on his enemies, and had become something more than human or maybe more non-human. He had his best friends, Samson and Samantha, brother and sister mountain lions who Daniel considered to be his brother and sister. He talked to them telepathically, hunted with them, slaughtered beast for food, and many nights took refuge from the world in their den.

His mom had been his rock. She saved him from those who would have killed him, and literally had pulled him back from the dead. Daniel got his ferocity from her. She had trained him from age nine to be a predator, a killer.

But, the ugly dreams still came, black voices oozed from their dark crevasses, the faces of people he'd killed crept into his mind's eye, ugly reminders of the monster that lurked just below his consciousness.

Yet Daniel had a hope, a light that shined in his darkness, a promise that the days ahead would be better, and her name was Amber.

The last seven years of isolation and misery were in his past and his seventeenth birthday had him happy and in love. Life was good.

Until...............

The Chaos Within

BOOK THREE OF THE DANIEL SAGA

Sometimes, it seemed Daniel’s brain farted big blundering expulsions of stupidity. He had so much going his way, yet his teenage mind and body continually put himself in harm’s way. What made it worse was he also placed others in jeopardy.
Yes, he and his mom had thwarted an insane scheme to violently twist the political balance of the United States. Yes, he had exposed and disposed of men seeding insanity just because they could. Yes, he’d saved his love, Amber, from death, and found her love to be precious beyond all he’d ever hoped for. Yes, his world was more intact and secure than ever.
He still had Melinda, his mom, his rock. He still had Amber, his reason to live, and he still had Samson and Samantha, the mountain lions he thought of as his brother and sister.

But, he also had the Black-ones, the demon voices of those from which he’d taken life. His demons within whispered poisonous thoughts, especially when Daniel found himself in moments of weakness; and their numbers had grown. He had added more souls to the body count, and more memories from those evil men now dwelt in him.
Another inner thought stirred, raising new questions, and Daniel began to realize just how different he was from others, his crazed abilities were not explainable, and Daniel wondered increasingly what he was, rather than who he was.
But threats remained, the Chaos was spreading, and Daniel couldn’t just hide away and pretend the crazy ones would leave him alone. No, he had to destroy them, but to do that he had to find them.
