Too many loose ends.

I started this writing journey decades ago, with one character, one scene, and one moment in time.

Over the years it has morphed into dozens of stories, and a multitude of characters and now...I feel fractured.

It's not just the mass of words written over eons in multiple universes and worlds; it's the fractured methodology, the assorted tools and methods, and the numerous computers that have served as the repository of the accumulated works.

More than once, I've lost it all, desperately searched the cloud, old computers, finding fragments and reconstructing the stories. Too many times, I have backed up multiple copies, and only after writing several new chapters realize it was an older version, not the latest edited and polished text.

It's all my fault, dashing off down a road without a map, a plan, or discipline, just an urge to write, to create.

So here I am, frustrated, too many unfinished stories scattered among too many programs, and I've lost track of where I am...and cannot decide which loose thread to grab.

HELP!!!!

My demise is because I've done it all and done it all on the cheap!

Yes, I'm a control freak. Those times I've let others handle covers or other aspects of getting the work ready to publish, I feel like we came up short.

I know I need to consolidate and create a consistent formula and format, but I'm fighting frustration.

I would like to tell you I have had a Clarifying Moment, but the reality is I'm wandering.

Anyone feel like doing an intervention?
