Last night's meeting of the Muskogee Writer's Group was very satisfying, and enlightening.

Our primary focus was on establishing a social media presence. With the skilled help of one of our members, we got thing set up on Facebook.
I loved the banter as we explored possible names, searched for which zeroed in on who we were, and what we are about. We determined the Muskogee Writer's Group still worked best...at this time.
Therefore, we have a Facebook page with that name.
We also reviewed two ten-page submissions, and both authors received excellent insight about what they did right, and where they can do better. The spirit was kind and helpful, and we all learned from the experience.
I was one of those submitters, and I came to realize, the first two chapters of the book, should actually be backstory inserted later! I have a major rethink to undertake.
You never arrive, your work can always be better, and the craft of creating impactful work does not just happen.
It takes work and effort.
So, once more, it's nose to the grindstone in an effort to make my words count.
We will meet again on February 19th, at the Muskogee Public Library, (I am so grateful for their support) at 6:30 p.m.
All are welcome. No money needed. Bring an open mind and lots of creativity.
