Book Three of The Daniel Saga
Sometimes, it seemed Daniel’s brain farted big blundering expulsions of stupidity. He had so much going his way, yet his teenage mind and body continually put himself in harm’s way. What made it worse was he also placed others in jeopardy.
Yes, he and his mom had thwarted an insane scheme to violently twist the political balance of the United States. Yes, he had exposed and disposed of men seeding insanity just because they could. Yes, he’d saved his love, Amber, from death, and found her love to be precious beyond all he’d ever hoped for. Yes, his world was more intact and secure than ever.
He still had Melinda, his mom, his rock. He still had Amber, his reason to live, and he still had Samson and Samantha, the mountain lions he thought of as his brother and sister.
But, he also had the Black-ones, the demon voices of those who's lives he’d taken. His demons within whispered poisonous thoughts, especially when Daniel found himself in moments of weakness; and their numbers had grown. He had added more souls to the body count, and more memories from those demons dwelt within.
Another inner thought had stirred raising new questions and Daniel began to realize just how different he was from others, his crazed abilities were not explainable and Daniel wondered increasingly what he was, rather than who he was.
But threats remained, the Chaos was spreading and Daniel couldn’t just hide away and pretend the crazy ones would leave him alone. No, he had to destroy them, but to do that he had to find them.
